Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring Epic experience and a compact or NC RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a short-term acute care setting on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital environment
• Night shifts, 4x12 hours from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Patient ratios are typically 1:5-6
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required within scope to like units and between main and sister campuses as needed
• Epic charting experience required
• First-time travelers accepted for this position
• Return travelers must have at least 1 year since their last assignment at the facility
• Travelers may extend once on day shift and twice on night shift before a mandatory 6-month break
• Pre-start online modules are required and take 4-10 hours to complete
• Royal blue and white scrubs are required
• Only one holiday off can be approved per contract
• Requested time off must not exceed 4 days unless otherwise approved

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Experience working with Epic EMR required
• SSN and DOB must be provided for consideration
• References are not required at time of application
• Local candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility
