Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with experience in both cardiac catheterization and angiography, plus scrub skills, for a teaching Level I Trauma Center assignment.
Responsibilities
- Position based in a large acute care hospital with 539 staffed beds
- Work primarily in the cardiac cath lab, handling adult patient cases
- Teaching hospital environment with Level I Trauma designation
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday
- On-call required: one weeknight per week and one weekend per month from Friday end of shift to Monday 7:00 AM
- 30-minute response time required for call
- Expected to float between units and facilities within the system as needed
- Epic used for charting and documentation
- Main responsibilities include supporting cardiac catheterization and angiography procedures in an adult patient population
- Scrubs provided for Cath Lab staff, with all colors allowed except all black or camo
- Free parking available in any unrestricted space and EV charging is available
- Mandatory low census cancellation may occur one shift per two-week period, with 1.5-hour minimum notice prior to shift
- No more than 7 days of requested time off (RTO) are allowed, and none permitted in the first 2 weeks
- Refusal to float as assigned will result in cancellation of the contract
- Travelers may be considered for contract extension beyond 13 weeks
- First-time travelers will be considered
Requirements
- Minimum experience in both Cath Lab and angiography required, including scrub skills
- Active BLS and ACLS certifications required
- ARRT-R or RCIS required
- Ability to work in a teaching, Level I Trauma environment
- License required if applicable
- COVID vaccination card required; exemptions not accepted
- Completion of assigned education within one week of starting the assignment
