Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with experience in both cardiac catheterization and angiography, plus scrub skills, for a teaching Level I Trauma Center assignment.

Responsibilities

• Position based in a large acute care hospital with 539 staffed beds
• Work primarily in the cardiac cath lab, handling adult patient cases
• Teaching hospital environment with Level I Trauma designation
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• On-call required: one weeknight per week and one weekend per month from Friday end of shift to Monday 7:00 AM
• 30-minute response time required for call
• Expected to float between units and facilities within the system as needed
• Epic used for charting and documentation
• Main responsibilities include supporting cardiac catheterization and angiography procedures in an adult patient population
• Scrubs provided for Cath Lab staff, with all colors allowed except all black or camo
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space and EV charging is available
• Mandatory low census cancellation may occur one shift per two-week period, with 1.5-hour minimum notice prior to shift
• No more than 7 days of requested time off (RTO) are allowed, and none permitted in the first 2 weeks
• Refusal to float as assigned will result in cancellation of the contract
• Travelers may be considered for contract extension beyond 13 weeks
• First-time travelers will be considered

Requirements

• Minimum experience in both Cath Lab and angiography required, including scrub skills
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications required
• ARRT-R or RCIS required
• Ability to work in a teaching, Level I Trauma environment
• License required if applicable
• COVID vaccination card required; exemptions not accepted
• Completion of assigned education within one week of starting the assignment
