Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with a PA or compact RN license and Epic experience for a diverse surgical environment.

Responsibilities

Position is in the Operating Room of a hospital
Work involves 10-hour day shifts with start times of 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM or 8:45 AM to 7:15 PM
Call required every 6 to 7 weeks for weekends (Friday 7 PM to Sunday 7 PM) and one weeknight per week (7 PM to 7 AM)
Weekend and holiday coverage may be needed
Unit consists of 11 operating suites, including 2 dedicated cardiovascular ORs and an additional specialized procedure suite
Surgical cases include gynecology, urogynecology, oncology, podiatry, orthopedics, breast, plastics, general, urology, robotics, endoscopy, cardiothoracic, and vascular surgery
Patient population ranges from pediatric to geriatric
Care may include patients with COVID-19
Facility is tobacco and fragrance free
Maximum 7 days of requested time off
Manager interview and clinical screening required for consideration

Requirements

Active PA or compact RN license required
Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room RN experience
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Epic EMR experience required
