Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring a VA or compact license and Epic experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a 24-bed Thoracic Cardiovascular ICU with cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgical populations
• Care includes patients undergoing CABG, valve repair/replacement, heart and lung transplants
• Day shift schedule with 4x12 hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:00
• Required to work every other weekend and every other holiday
• Must float according to facility policy
• Epic EMR system experience is required
• Provide critical care to post-surgical cardiac and thoracic patients
• Block scheduling is not available
• Up to 40 hours of requested time off allowed per 13-week contract
• Must observe team float policies and flexible assignment needs
• Must wait 12 months to return as a traveler if previously employed by the facility
• No home address radius restrictions for consideration

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license, or license pending at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two professional references are needed for consideration
• Must have ability to float as needed within scope of clinical expertise
