Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring BLS, ACLS, and Epic experience with eligibility for VA or compact RN licensure.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 24-bed Thoracic Cardiovascular ICU within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes those undergoing CABG, valve repair/replacement, heart and lung transplantation, and vascular/thoracic surgeries
• Night shifts with 4x12-hour schedule (19:00-07:00), 36 or 48 hours per week available
• Required to work every other weekend and every other holiday
• Floating may be required in accordance with facility policy
• Epic EMR experience is required
• Responsible for caring for patients post-cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries and transplants
• Maximum 40 hours of requested time off per 13-week contract
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
• Candidates must wait at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
• No radius rule applies for candidates
• Every other holiday coverage is required

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license or eligibility with license pending
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must provide two professional references upon consideration
