Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with BLS, ARRT certification, and circulator and scrub experience for a contract in a high-acuity setting.

Responsibilities

  • Work in an Interventional Radiology department of a hospital
  • Day shifts available as either 4x10-hour (7:30 AM to 6:00 PM) or 5x8-hour blocks
  • One weekday on-call shift per week and one weekend on-call shift every two months
  • Procedures require both circulating and scrub technologist experience
  • Care for a variety of interventional radiology patients
  • Use of Epic EMR is required for inpatient and float pool assignments
  • May be floated to other units in accordance with clinical competency
  • Closer parking provided while on call
  • Typical assignment length is 13 weeks
  • Up to 40 hours of RTO permitted per 13-week contract
  • Advance notice required for any planned vacation between sign date and start date
  • Candidates made aware of background issues are expected to disclose this information
  • No radius rule applies for eligibility

Requirements

  • Current BLS and ARRT certification required
  • VA state license required; temporary authorization accepted to start
  • Experience in circulating and scrubbing required
  • Two professional references required for consideration
  • Copy of certification(s), driver's license, and SSN required for onboarding
  • Epic experience required if working in SRO Float Pool or Inpatient Units
  • 12 months must pass before returning as a traveler if previously employed
  • License required if applicable
