Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 2 years of vascular and neurovascular IR experience, familiar with scrubbing cases and fluoro rooms.
Responsibilities
- Work in an acute care hospital's Interventional Radiology unit
- Caseload averages 10-15 cases per tech per day
- Procedures include vascular IR, neurovascular IR, endografts, trauma, body IR, and participation in stroke thrombectomy cases
- Familiarity with GE and Siemens Fluoro rooms is required
- Uses Cerner for charting
- Day shifts are 5x8 hours, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM; hours adjust to 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM when on call
- Call required one day per week and one weekend every third or fourth week (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
- Holiday coverage is as needed
- No floating required
- Active participation in stroke thrombectomy procedures
- Scrubs are provided
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Team supports a variety of complex IR cases in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in Interventional Radiology, including neurovascular IR
- Ability to scrub cases and handle wires
- Familiarity with GE and Siemens Fluoro rooms
- Experience in vascular, neurovascular, trauma, and body IR procedures
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility (locals not accepted)
- License required if applicable
- Pending state licenses accepted, but must be active by start date
