Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and certification in either RCIS or ARRT for a high acuity cardiac catheterization role.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based cath lab with three procedure rooms
• Primarily day shifts, 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• 13-week contract assignment
• Patient procedures include balloon angioplasty, PCI, stent placement, thrombectomy, Impella insertion, left and right heart catheterization, rotablader, and structural heart interventions such as TAVR
• Rare floating may occur within the cath lab and occasionally to EP or cath lab holding area
• Call is required one day per week and one weekend per 4-week period, with additional call possible if coverage is needed
• Uses Epic and MAC Lab EMR systems
• Preferred experience includes circulating, IV starts, conscious sedation, Watchman procedures, septal closure, ablations, coil embolization, filter placement, and EKG rhythm interpretation
• Complex PCI procedures are performed regularly in this lab
• Scrubs are provided
• Call-offs or additional requested time off may lead to contract cancellation and DNR status
• RTO after booking is not allowed
• Professional references from supervisors within the past 2 years are required for consideration

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years recent cath lab experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Must hold at least one credential: RCIS or ARRT
• Experience with scrubbing, monitoring, PA lines, telemetry, and structural heart procedures required
• Experience with complex procedures such as PCI and Impella insertion required
• License required if applicable
• First-time travelers will be considered
