Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with NJ or compact licensure and circulating experience for a day shift contract.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital Operating Room setting
• Responsibilities include circulating for various surgical specialties such as general, GYN, urology, ortho, joints, neuro, spine, vascular, bariatrics, VATS, ENT, and robotics
• Supports new EGS surgeons for general, laparoscopic, and robotic procedures
• Scheduled for 3x12 hour day shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM
• Required on-call every four weeks: two 12-hour weekend call shifts, one additional call shift, and two weeknight 8-hour call shifts
• Holiday call requirement of one 12-hour shift if holiday falls during contract
• Charting uses EPIC EMR with EPIC charging
• First time travelers are accepted for this position
• Returning employees must have been away from the health system for a minimum of 1 year
• Locals are accepted at the same rate
• Request for time off and any schedule accommodations must be discussed and approved prior to assignment agreement
• Scrubs are provided on site

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum 1.5 years of Operating Room RN experience with circulating duties
• Experience with robotic surgical procedures is a plus
• Must have experience with a broad range of surgical specialties as listed
• Background and license must be free of open or active issues
