Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and recent mammography proficiency for an acute care hospital assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care hospital setting within the mammography department
• Perform tomo mammography studies and assist radiologists during stereotactic biopsies
• Handle an average caseload of 15 cases per day
• Use Cerner EMR and Merge PACS; Cerner experience is required
• Day shifts are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• No floating required for this position
• Assist radiologists with stereotactic biopsies as part of daily responsibilities
• Teal scrubs are required
• Initial orientation includes 12 hours of training
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from the last 12 months, one peer or supervisor from the last 3 years
• A copy of your driver’s license is required for consideration

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent mammography experience including at least 200 mammograms in the past 2 years
• Current BLS certification
• Certified Mammography Technologist with ARRT (M) credential
• CRT in Mammography (California)
• Active state license required; pending licenses are not accepted (license required if applicable)
• Travel experience is required
• Experience with Cerner EMR and Merge PACS
