Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN First Assist (RNFA) for a busy Acute Operating Room with required robotics and Cerner experience in California.
Responsibilities
- Position is in the Operating Room (OR) of an acute care hospital
- Day shifts with 10-hour shifts and weekend call required
- Specialized in a wide variety of surgical cases including ortho (knees, hips, shoulders, spine), robotics, neuro, GYN, general surgery, ENT, vascular, and more
- Frequent use of robotics and involvement in complex surgical cases
- Requires experience with the Cerner EMR system
- Floating between facilities may be required
- Responsibilities include first assisting in a broad array of surgical procedures and collaborating closely with surgical teams
- On-call required with a rotation-based forced call list in rare cases if coverage is needed
- Must be able to work both scheduled shifts and participate in weekend/on-call rotations
- Orientation is provided before beginning regular assignment duties
- Candidates must not have been directly employed by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health within the past year
- Certifications must be current and active at time of consideration
- References from a supervisor within the last 12 months and a peer or supervisor within the last 3 years are required
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of recent RNFA experience in the operating room
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Robotics, ortho, neuro, and GYN surgical experience required
- Cerner EMR experience required
- No first-time travelers will be considered
