Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Radiology Technologist for night shifts working in acute care radiology with ARRT (R) certification and Washington state licensure.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in an acute care setting within the radiology department
• Work as a general X-ray technologist covering fluoroscopy, surgery (OR), emergency department X-ray, inpatient, and portable studies
• Department features 2 X-ray rooms equipped with GE and Siemens systems
• Average workload is approximately 30 studies per day
• No floating to other departments is required
• Shifts are 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights
• Uses Epic and McKesson charting systems
• Core duties include performing general X-ray exams, fluoroscopy, surgical, emergency and inpatient imaging, and portable radiographs
• No requirement to start IVs
• Department provides scrubs in a basic color
• Initial orientation is one week, Monday through Friday, on day shift
• No call or standby coverage required
• Radiologist is not on site; collaboration is required with remote coverage
• Radiology team does not utilize Registered Radiology Assistants (RRAs)

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Radiologic Technologist, preferably with ED X-ray and OR surgery experience
• Current ARRT (R) certification and BLS (AHA) required
• Current Washington State Radiology Technologist license required at time of consideration; license required if applicable
• Must be able to provide and wear own radiation badge
• Must provide copy of driver’s license for consideration
• Professional references: one supervisor from the past 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the past 3 years
