Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with recent inpatient rehab experience and a current PT license for a weekday, day shift contract.

Responsibilities

• Work in an inpatient rehab hospital setting
• Monday to Friday schedule, 8-hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• Position requires caring for patients within a rehabilitation environment
• No local candidates accepted; must live at least 100 miles from the facility
• Responsibilities include comprehensive patient evaluation, treatment planning, and documentation
• Active participation as a member of an interdisciplinary team
• Must adapt to changing work assignments as necessary
• Documentation must be accurate and age-appropriate
• Crisis Prevention training (TEAM) mandated by the position
• Professional, team-oriented work environment
• Only candidates living over 100 miles from the facility are eligible

Requirements

• Current and active Physical Therapy license required if applicable
• Minimum of 2 years of recent inpatient rehab or acute hospital experience in the U.S.
• Degree in Physical Therapy required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI/TEAM) training required within 6 months of hire
• First Aid certification preferred
• State licensure verification required
• Ability to provide two manager or supervisor references, including one from the most recent employer
• Must provide SSN, driver's license, and COVID and Flu vaccination records for consideration
• No pending licenses accepted
