Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a FL or compact RN license, prior ER experience, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Emergency Department (ER) setting
• Night shift schedule, typically 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Floating within scope may be required to meet facility needs
• Weekends required as needed
• Uses Epic EMR, required proficiency at level 3 or 4
• All travelers must be nicotine free and pass a negative nicotine (cotinine) screen and 10-panel drug test
• There are time-sensitive onboarding modules that must be prioritized upon confirmation of assignment
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• Assignment length restrictions apply; no more than 18 consecutive months at any related facility, with a minimum six-month break before returning
• Two professional references are required at the time of consideration

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years recent ER experience
• Certifications required: AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, PALS at time of consideration
• NIHSS certification required prior to start
• Epic EMR experience at level 3 or 4 is required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• All time-off requests must be included up front for consideration
• Pending RN licenses are not accepted
