Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) night shift position requiring a TN or compact RN license and recent specialty experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital setting
  • Assigned to the Chronic 3 unit
  • Night shift schedule from 18:30 to 07:00
  • 13-week contract assignment
  • Responsibilities include providing care to chronically and acutely ill patients in an LTAC setting
  • Staff are required to use an electronic timekeeping system for clocking in and out
  • Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel status
  • All timekeeping, floating, and call-in policies must be followed as outlined by facility guidelines
  • Certification renewals must be completed prior to assignment start date

Requirements

  • Active TN or compact RN license required at time of consideration
  • Minimum of 2 years recent experience in LTAC or relevant specialty
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required; certifications must not expire within 30 days of start and RCIS or RQI certifications are not accepted
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
  • Full US Social Security Number required for consideration
  • Candidates must not be currently employed in any permanent position within the same health system
