Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift travel position in Flowood, MS, requiring Cerner experience and a minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based Med/Surg unit (Main Hospital, Unit/Floor 2)
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 3/2 rotating split schedule (alternating 4 shifts one week, 3 the next)
• Alternating weekend requirement
• Patient ratio of 6:1
• Cerner EMR in use
• 8-week contract
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
• RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
• First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded; standard experience requirements apply

Requirements

• Active RN license (Mississippi or Compact) required
• Current BLS certification required; no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Must permanently reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
