Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring OH or compact licensure, IV skills, and night shift availability.

Responsibilities

• Position is on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Workdays include weekdays with some required weekend shifts
• Floating required to units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Epic electronic medical record system is used and prior experience is required
• Role includes IV insertion, patient monitoring, administering medications, collecting labs, and providing patient education
• Must work both weekdays and some weekends as part of the set schedule
• Expected to float to other units of equal or lower acuity as needed

Requirements

• Active RN license for OH or compact states
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
• IV certification required
• Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, lab draws, medication administration, and patient education
• Epic experience required
