Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Home Health assignment requiring at least 1 year of recent home health experience and a current state license.

Responsibilities

• Home health setting focusing on geriatric and wound care patients
• Locations include Sacramento, Modesto, and Stockton areas, with potential travel to surrounding counties
• Typical assignment length ranges from 4 to 6 months
• Minimum of 23-24 patient visits per week expected for a full-time schedule
• Day shifts, Monday through Friday, with no weekend or on-call requirements
• Charting must be completed onsite using Kinnser/Wellsky EMR system
• Mileage reimbursed according to IRS standards from first to last patient
• Any color scrubs with closed toe shoes required
• Free residential parking provided
• Responsibilities include providing patient-focused care to homebound individuals, especially geriatric populations and those needing wound care
• Clinicians are expected to be punctual, self-starters, and diligent in timely charting
• Team provides a supportive environment and initial training
• First-time travelers are accepted and welcome
• Assignment requires a minimum 6-month commitment for less experienced clinicians
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are accepted
• All requested time off must be submitted prior to contract offer; additional RTO will not be approved after acceptance
• COVID vaccination is required with religious declination accepted; flu vaccine may be declined with proper documentation

Requirements

• Active PT state license in hand at time of consideration; license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of home health experience and 2 years of total clinical experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• No negative marks on professional license history
• Ability to complete all charting in clinic using clinic-provided tablet
• All compliance documentation must be complete before starting work
• Adherence to COVID vaccination policy, with declinations accepted for religious reasons and required documentation
