Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery night shift position requiring a TX or compact RN license and strong L&D background.

Responsibilities

Position is in a Labor and Delivery unit at a short-term acute care hospital
Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts, 19:00-07:00
Patient ratio is 1:2
Weekend work required with six weekend shifts per schedule
Floating may be required between units or facilities as needed
Unit serves Labor & Delivery with preference for experience in mom/baby or transition nursing
EMR system used is Epic; prior Epic experience required
Must provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period
Expected to float per unit or facility needs according to the employer's policies
No on-call responsibilities are required
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Mandatory minimal to no RTO; excessive RTO may affect consideration
Candidates who were previously employed in a permanent role must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not live within 50 miles of the facility
Free parking is available in unrestricted spaces
Facility is a Level IV Trauma Center

Requirements

Active TX or compact RN license required
Minimum of 2 years recent Labor and Delivery RN experience
BLS and other required certifications must be current and submitted for consideration
Ability to work independently in the Labor and Delivery unit
At least two supervisory references covering one year of employment in the specialty within the past three years
SSN and Date of Birth required for consideration
