Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry position in a cardiac float pool, requiring Cerner experience and 18 months of true telemetry and travel experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Telemetry unit within a hospital cardiac float pool
• Care for pre and post cardiac cath patients and monitor titrated drips and sheaths
• Three 12-hour night shifts per week, including every other weekend
• Must be willing to float to other units as needed
• Experience with Cerner EMR is required
• Navy blue scrubs are required
• No block scheduling allowed
• Must provide care to COVID-19 patients as assigned
• Responsible for managing complex cardiac tele cases including titrating drips and monitoring for lethal rhythms
• Time off requests presented after initial submission will not be approved
• Every other weekend shift is required
• References are required for consideration
• No block scheduling will be permitted

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required
• Current ACLS, BLS (AHA), CPI, and NIHSS certifications required; TNCC preferred
• Minimum 18 months of recent true telemetry experience, specifically cardiac telemetry
• Travel experience in nursing is required
• Experience in titrating cardiac drips and caring for cardiac cath patients is required
• Must have experience with Cerner charting
• Must be willing and able to float to other units
• Must be able to work with COVID patients
• Must pass an EKG exam on orientation day with a score of 80% or higher
• Completion of 8 cardiac and 8 stroke CEUs is required for Telemetry placements
• First time travelers will not be considered
