Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position requiring a WI or compact RN license and at least 2 years of recent ED experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Emergency Department caring for ED patients, including potential assignment to boarded patients
• Night shift schedule of 18:00-06:30
• Use the Epic electronic medical record system
• May be required to float within skill set onsite or to sites within 40 miles
• Every other weekend and every other holiday coverage required
• Provide comprehensive patient care in a busy Emergency Department setting
• May be responsible for patients boarding in the ED as part of assignment
• Floating is required as needed based on staffing and patient census
• COVID vaccination is not required for this role
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted but may be subject to a reduced local rate based on facility radius rules
• Every other holiday coverage is expected
• Scrub attire requirements will be provided prior to start

Requirements

• Active WI or compact state RN license in hand
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience
• Current AHA certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• TNCC certification with up-to-date renewal every 4 years
• NIHSS certification with updates per requirement
• Nursys license verification within 30 days prior to start
• US Social Security Number and US home address required
