Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Radiology Technologist for a Level 1 Trauma acute care setting requiring ARRT and BLS (AHA) certifications.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a general radiology department providing X-ray coverage for emergency, inpatient, and OR ortho/spine cases
• Level 1 Trauma acute care environment
• 20-30 scans/studies per day expected
• Equipment includes 3 general X-ray rooms, 2 fluoro units, 6 portable machines, and 9 GE c-arms
• EMR is Epic with Fuji PACS; experience with these systems is beneficial
• Shift is 12 hours, Friday to Sunday, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• No floating required to other departments
• Weekend and holiday shifts are required
• No call or standby is required
• Hospital-provided blue scrubs are required for this position
• A radiation badge must be obtained independently; facility does not provide one
• Department orientation includes equipment overview, facility tour, and Epic setup
• Direct radiologist support is available during the day; remote coverage at night
• Physician assistants are present in the department
• Candidates may not have been directly employed by any related facility (including CHI and Dignity) within the last year

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Radiologic Technologist in an acute care or trauma setting
• Current ARRT (R) certification required
• Current BLS certification from AHA required
• Experience performing OR procedures with c-arms is required
• Demonstrated ability to support ortho and spine cases in the operating room
• Driver's license must be submitted for consideration
• Must provide two references: one from a supervisor within the last 12 months and one from a peer or supervisor within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and rehire eligibility
• Must meet a 60 mile radius rule from permanent residence to facility based on driver’s license
• License required if applicable
