Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced MFM Sonographer with ARDMS OB/GYN certification and at least 2 years of recent high-risk OB/MFM practice experience.
Details
- Position is based in a busy Maternal Fetal Medicine clinic supporting high-risk obstetrics imaging
- Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts from 7:45 am to 4:15 pm
- Patient population consists of high-risk obstetrics cases
- Procedures include detailed fetal anatomy scans, growth scans, biophysical profiles (BPPs), Dopplers, and advanced perinatal imaging
- May assist with ultrasound-guided surgical procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling
- May travel between clinical sites within the assignment as needed
- Scrubs without branding are permitted
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in Maternal Fetal Medicine or high-risk OB/MFM sonography required
- ARDMS OB/GYN certification required
- BLS required
- ARRT certification required if applicable
- Detailed experience supporting high-risk obstetrics imaging required
- Experience with fetal monitoring equipment and GE ultrasound machines
- Ability to respond to emergency call back may be required
- NT/Nuchal Translucency certification preferred
- Must live outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
Additional Information
- Perform advanced obstetric, fetal, and gynecologic diagnostic ultrasound examinations and assist with invasive diagnostic procedures
- Provide patient education and support throughout examinations in a collaborative perinatal environment
- Support the daily operations and accreditation requirements of the sonography lab
- Testing on EKG will be performed on the first day, with two attempts allowed and study guides provided
- Must adhere to infection control policies and use appropriate personal protective equipment
- Responsible for quality control of imaging and accurate documentation of procedures
- Participate in team communication and patient scheduling as needed
