Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist experienced in surgery, OR, ER, and both inpatient and outpatient diagnostics, with ARRT and BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Work in hospital settings covering surgery, operating room, emergency room, and both inpatient and outpatient diagnostic procedures
• Uses GE radiographic equipment and C-Arm for specialized procedures
• 1st shift position with four 10-hour shifts, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Rotating weekend schedule, working one weekend every four weeks
• Local candidates accepted with a 50-mile radius rule
• Obtain and document patient clinical history and lab work for diagnostic imaging
• Position and immobilize patients for optimal imaging and patient comfort
• Apply radiation protection principles to ensure safety for patients and staff
• Assist with fluoroscopic and specialized radiography procedures, including appropriate aseptic techniques
• Verify informed consent and complete procedure documentation
• Operate radiographic equipment in accordance with ALARA principles
• Document patient dose exposures and ensure technical quality of images
• Interact professionally with physicians, technologists, hospital staff, patients, and family members
• Pass/fail EKG testing required on the first day, with two attempts and study guides provided
• Scrub attire required as per department standards

Requirements

• Active ARRT certification required
• BLS certification required
• Licensure required if applicable
• Experience with C-Arm is required
• Proficiency in radiographic exams for surgery, OR, ER, portable imaging, and general diagnostics
• Minimum of 1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care is preferred
• Familiarity with EPIC EHR and PACS is preferred
