Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical-Surgical night shift position requiring BLS, ACLS, and an active AL or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Med Surg unit within a 49-bed hospital
• Medical-surgical patient population with a typical ratio of 1:6-7
• 12-hour night shifts (7p-7a) on a 7 on/7 off schedule
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday rotation is required
• EMR system experience with Omnicell preferred
• No self scheduling and no call responsibilities
• Responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care to a diverse adult medical-surgical population
• Must participate in both weekend and holiday rotations as scheduled
• Candidate must provide all requested documentation, including full DOB and SSN, for consideration
• Time off requests (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application
• First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded

Requirements

• Active AL or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience required
• BLS (AHA only) and ACLS certifications required
• COVID vaccination proof required with no declinations accepted
• Experience in a hospital with 400+ beds strongly preferred
• Omnicell EMR experience preferred but not required
