Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Long Term Care position in a 100-bed LTAC setting, requiring a compact or MS RN license and at least two years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Work in a 100-bed Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) facility focusing on geriatric, short-term, and post-acute trach patients
12-hour day shifts with schedules including Monday, Thursday, Friday and Tuesday or Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday
Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:20 with nurse practitioner support available weekdays
Ancillary assistance is provided with 9 support staff during days and 7 during nights
Provide nursing care for geriatric and post-acute patients including those with tracheostomies
Team structure includes nurse practitioners and ancillary staff support
No mention of specific EMR experience required
Position may consider strong first-time travelers
No on-call requirements stated

Requirements

Active compact or Mississippi RN license required
Minimum two years of LTAC experience required
Prior travel experience required, but strong first-time travelers may be considered
Experience in a facility with 400+ beds or level 2 trauma experience is strongly preferred
Current BLS certification (AHA) required
ACLS certification preferred
