Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with at least 2 years of experience and ARRT certification to work pediatric X-ray nights in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care pediatric radiology department
• Perform general X-ray imaging including OR, fluoro, diagnostic, ED, and mobile X-rays
• Department features 2 X-ray rooms, 1 fluoro room, 5 portables, 2 C-arms, 2 mini-C-arms, and 1 O-arm
• Utilizes Canon Ultimax fluoro unit, Dell X-ray rooms, GE C-arms, and Mobile Units
• EMR used is EPIC and Fuji PACS
• Average daily caseload includes 85 imaging studies
• Night shifts with 3x12 hour schedule: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
• Weekend and holiday shifts required
• No on-call or float requirements
• Responsibilities include performing a variety of diagnostic X-ray procedures for pediatric patients in multiple settings including OR, ED, and inpatient floors
• Pediatric radiologist is in-house during daytime hours, and resident coverage is available 24/7
• Tech assistants and a lead technologist are present within the department
• Department-specific orientation provided
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Candidates must not have worked for any WVU Medicine location within the past 2 years
• Local travelers are not accepted; candidates must live 50 miles or more from the facility
• Candidates cannot work within WVU Medicine for more than one year without taking a 2-year break

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a radiology technologist
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required
• Current ARRT (R) certification required
• Experience with pediatric imaging preferred but not required
• Familiarity with Epic EMR and Fuji PACS preferred
• License required if applicable
