Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiothoracic ICU position requiring a NC or compact RN license and Level 1 Trauma experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a Cardiothoracic ICU within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 7:00pm to 7:00am, three 12-hour shifts per week, with openness to 4 shifts per week at 48 hours
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Patient care focuses on cardiothoracic cases including complex and critical care
• Responsibilities include providing competent clinical nursing care and coordinating patient care in accordance with professional standards
• Participate in education, patient/family teaching, care assessment, collaborative planning, and complex patient care delivery
• Involvement with interdisciplinary team to evaluate and promote continuity of patient care
• Must complete required background check and drug screening within specified timeframes

Requirements

• Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC required
• Minimum of 1 year ICU nursing experience required
• Prior experience in a Cardiothoracic ICU (CTICU) or Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) required
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a diploma, ADN, or ASN
