Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 2 years of acute care hospital experience for a day-shift assignment.

Responsibilities

• Position is in an acute care hospital unit with 49 staffed beds
• Work schedule is Monday through Friday, day shift from 8:00 to 17:00
• Typical weekend coverage for inpatient therapy is once every two months on a rotating schedule
• Clinician may be required to float to a nearby facility located 15 minutes away as needed
• Charting is done using OBix and McKesson; Pyxis and SBAR are also used
• Free parking is available in any unrestricted space
• Any color scrubs may be worn
• First-time travelers are encouraged to apply
• Block scheduling is not available for this position
• Any finalized requests for time off must be submitted up front, with no time off permitted in the first two weeks and a maximum of 10 days RTO
• No full calendar weeks of requested time off will be approved
• Main responsibilities include providing physical therapy services to an inpatient population in an acute care setting
• Team support and training are provided as appropriate
• No holiday coverage expectations were specified

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care physical therapy experience required; candidates with 1 year may be screened, but less will not be considered
• Current state license or compact license required if applicable
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
• All certifications and licensure must be held at the time of consideration; pending licenses are not accepted
