Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 2 years of acute care experience and a current state license for a day shift assignment in an acute care hospital.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care hospital setting in a Physical Therapy unit
• The hospital has 49 staffed beds
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• May be required to cover inpatient therapy on weekends every two months on a rotating basis
• Float to a nearby facility within 15 minutes may be required as needed
• Charting is done using OBix and McKesson; additional systems used are Pyxis and SBAR
• Scrub color is flexible; any color is permitted
• Free parking is available in unrestricted spaces
• Primary responsibility includes providing physical therapy services to acute care inpatients
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Finalized requests for time off must be submitted during application, with no RTO in the first two weeks and a maximum of 10 days allowed
• No full calendar week of RTO permitted
• Team may float clinicians to nearby location as needed to meet patient care needs

Requirements

• Current state Physical Therapy license required; compact license accepted if applicable
• At least 2 years of recent acute care PT experience required; will consider candidates with 1 year on review
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
• Must submit required licensure and certifications for consideration
• License must be in hand prior to start date
