Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring an OR RN license, BLS and NRP certifications, and flexibility to float across units and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Labor & Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP) unit within a critical access Level III Trauma Center
• Patient ratios are 1:1 for active labor and 1:3 for postpartum, following AWHONN staffing standards
• Shift schedule is 3x12 hour day shifts (7:00–19:00) with every other weekend required
• Floating is required between units per skill set and may include multiple local facilities
• No on-call required
• EMR system is Epic and experience is required
• Scrubs of any color may be worn; scrubs are provided for Maternal Child
• Responsibilities include caring for laboring, postpartum, and recovery patients in a Level III Trauma Center
• Team support and possibility of floating to nearby facilities as needed
• Travelers may receive hotel and mileage reimbursement when floated to certain locations
• All requested time off must be discussed before contract signing; limited RTO will be approved
• No parking fees at facility
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Requirements

• Active OR RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS and NRP
• Minimum 2 years of LDRP nursing experience preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Must have a vehicle for assignment travel
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and reside at least 50 miles from the facility for eligibility
