Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring a GA or compact license and two years of recent L&D experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital setting
• Provide care for laboring women, postpartum mothers and newborns, as well as GYN and breast surgery patients
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00 – 07:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Unit accepts first-time travelers
• Care for laboring women, postpartum mothers, newborns, and post-surgical GYN/breast surgery patients
• Must work assigned holidays according to facility holiday policy (no RTO for one or two major holidays in assignment; if three, only one holiday RTO may be requested with approval)
• Maximum of 7 days of RTO allowed, with no time off during the first week of assignment
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Travel pairs cannot be scheduled for the same shift on the same unit
• Full compliance required for timely onboarding; delayed compliance may postpone start date

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience required
• Copies of all required certifications must be provided for consideration
• Two supervisory references (manager or above) are highly preferred for consideration
• Must be fully compliant prior to start date to attend bi-weekly orientation
• Returning travelers must have been away from all related facilities for at least 1 full year
