Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced PICU RN with at least one year of travel experience, night shift availability, and active MO or compact license.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a Pediatric ICU of a children’s hospital
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00–07:00), 36 hours per week
• Unit is a Level I Trauma Center and Magnet-designated teaching hospital
• Patient population includes critically ill pediatric patients
• Charting is completed using Cerner EMR
• Scrubs in any kid-friendly color or pattern are allowed
• Free parking available with permit
• Will not accept first-time travelers; prior travel nurse experience is mandatory
• NICU is Level IV and campus is nicotine-free; nicotine testing is required
• Flexible start date preferred within 4–6 weeks
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• First time travelers are not eligible for this contract

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Active BLS and PALS (AHA) certifications required
• At least two years of recent PICU RN experience required
• Minimum of 12 months experience as a traveler in a PICU required
• Two recent professional references from a supervisor within the last 12 months required
• Date of birth and Social Security Number required at time of consideration
• Must possess both Missouri and Kansas RN licenses or a compact license
