Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN with recent Level I Trauma experience, an active FL or compact license, and strong Epic skills for a night shift assignment.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a hospital Emergency Room with Level I Trauma responsibilities
- Night shift schedule: three 12-hour shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:30
- Every other weekend coverage is required
- Nurse-to-patient ratio typically ranges from 4:1 to 5:1 depending on the assigned area
- Candidates will care for Level I trauma patients in the Trauma Bay and must be able to function independently
- Epic EMR experience is required
- Locals within a 60-mile radius are considered at a different pay rate
- Responsibilities include providing care for critical and trauma patients as part of the Emergency Department team
- Independent function in Trauma Bay is required
- Orientation includes access to study guides and tips for passing required assessments
- Facility is smoke-free
- Travelers may retake the dysrhythmia exam if initial attempt is not passed
- Dress code and other onboarding protocols are provided during orientation
Requirements
- Active FL or compact RN license in hand
- Minimum 3-5 years of recent consecutive Level I Trauma ER experience in a US hospital within the last 24 months
- Degree must be from an accredited school or from an FBON-approved institution with at least 2 years of recent acute care experience
- Certifications required: BLS and ACLS through AHA, TNCC, and NIHSS
- Must have Epic EMR experience
- Successful completion of EKG/dysrhythmia assessment prior to start, including 100% in lethal arrhythmias and an overall score of 83% or greater
- Proof of vaccination status required
