Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring a MO or compact RN license, interventional scrub experience, and strong Cath Lab procedural skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in a busy Cath Lab within a short-term acute care teaching hospital
• Cares for patients with diagnoses such as AMI, chest pain, heart failure, NSTEMI, aortic stenosis, V-Tach, endocarditis, Afib, peripheral vascular disease, and sick sinus syndrome
• Staffing ratio is 1:1
• Schedule consists of four 10-hour day shifts (7:00-17:30) with rotating call, covering evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Weekend shifts required every other weekend
• Floating within the service line is required
• Procedures performed include diagnostic and interventional PCI
• Utilizes specialized equipment such as Impella and IABP
• Uses Epic for charting and documentation
• RN Circulator will provide conscious sedation, assist with sterile supplies, assess vitals, document in Epic, and may cross-train to monitor hemodynamics
• Training and orientation modules are paid up to 16 hours
• Navy scrubs required
• Parking arrangements vary by shift and are not reimbursed by the employer
• Holidays and rotating call coverage required
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Travelers can remain for up to 18 months with a required 3-month break between assignments

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required (pending license accepted)
• Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience, with interventional scrub experience required
• Current certifications in ACLS and BLS required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• No more than 7 days of requested time off (RTO) permitted during the contract
• Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
