Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with Level 1 trauma, vascular, and neuro experience and active SC or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Hospital setting in the Operating Room department at a Level 1 trauma facility
• Responsibilities include caring for vascular and neurosurgical cases
• Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• On-call coverage is required
• No floating outside the Operating Room department
• Recent EPIC EMR experience preferred but not required
• Pass/fail testing required during orientation, including Cardiac Dysrhythmia and Moderate Sedation exams
• All requested time off must be declared prior to contract start and will not be considered thereafter
• Strict attendance policy: more than two missed shifts per 13-week contract may lead to contract review
• No block scheduling accommodations

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required; pending license accepted if obtained before starting
• Minimum 5 years of OR RN experience required; will consider 1-2 years on a case-by-case basis
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Demonstrated vascular and neuro operating room experience
• Must live at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
