Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry Float position requiring WA or compact licensure, telemetry experience, and regular floating between units.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a short-term acute care hospital on the Med/Surg and Telemetry Float units
  • Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
  • Staff-to-patient ratio is 1:5 on both day and night shifts
  • Weekend shifts are required every other weekend
  • Regular floating required between various like units within your skill set
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Epic EMR system is used
  • All travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state as needed
  • Travelers refusing to float may face termination
  • No block scheduling is available at this time
  • Requested time off should be minimal and preferably kept under 7 days
  • Local candidates with permanent residence within 50 miles are not eligible for this travel contract
  • Former permanent staff must be separated for at least 3 months before reapplying as travelers

Requirements

  • Active WA RN license or compact state RN license required
  • Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg and telemetry experience required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • ACLS, MAB, and NIHSS certifications preferred
  • Telemetry experience required
  • Charge Nurse experience preferred
  • First-time travelers will be considered
  • Must provide references covering at least 1 year of employment within the specialty being considered
