Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry Stepdown position requiring strong cardiac rhythm identification skills and competency with telemetry care.
Responsibilities
- Position is in an adult stepdown unit functioning as a true cardiac floor
- Requires proficiency in reading, interpreting, and responding to cardiac rhythms
- Telemetry experience and Cerner-Powerchart EMR experience required
- Night shift schedule: three 12-hour shifts (19:00-07:30)
- Weekend rotation is every other weekend
- No on-call requirements
- Floating required to all adult inpatient units, including cardiac stepdown, oncology, ortho/trauma, post-surgical, rehab, and ICU stepdown as needed
- Primary duties include monitoring, identifying, and reacting to cardiac rhythms for stepdown patients
- Teamwork includes support and collaboration when floating to a variety of adult inpatient units
- Royal blue or white scrubs are required
- No parking fees for clinicians
- Block scheduling may be accommodated if requested
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Requirements
- Active IN or compact RN license (pending license accepted if active by start)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Demonstrated telemetry experience required
- Cerner EMR system experience required
- Must pass a cardiac rhythm identification quiz
- All travelers must live at least 50 miles from the facility location
