Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry Stepdown position requiring strong cardiac rhythm identification skills and competency with telemetry care.

Responsibilities

• Position is in an adult stepdown unit functioning as a true cardiac floor
• Requires proficiency in reading, interpreting, and responding to cardiac rhythms
• Telemetry experience and Cerner-Powerchart EMR experience required
• Night shift schedule: three 12-hour shifts (19:00-07:30)
• Weekend rotation is every other weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required to all adult inpatient units, including cardiac stepdown, oncology, ortho/trauma, post-surgical, rehab, and ICU stepdown as needed
• Primary duties include monitoring, identifying, and reacting to cardiac rhythms for stepdown patients
• Teamwork includes support and collaboration when floating to a variety of adult inpatient units
• Royal blue or white scrubs are required
• No parking fees for clinicians
• Block scheduling may be accommodated if requested
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Requirements

• Active IN or compact RN license (pending license accepted if active by start)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Demonstrated telemetry experience required
• Cerner EMR system experience required
• Must pass a cardiac rhythm identification quiz
• All travelers must live at least 50 miles from the facility location
