Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Telemetry RN for night shifts, requiring two years of experience and a valid MD or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Telemetry unit of a hospital setting
• Night shift position with 4x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Cares for adult and geriatric patients with complex multi-diagnoses
• Patient ratios are typically 1:5, up to 1:6 for lower acuity cases
• Every other weekend required, with four weekends in a four schedule cycle
• Floating required within specialty areas, to lower acuity, and to a sister location as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Provide nursing care for high-volume, fast-paced telemetry patients with a variety of diagnoses
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled
• Orientation includes CPI certification training as part of onboarding

Requirements

• Active MD or compact RN license
• Minimum of two years recent Telemetry RN experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• CPI certification will be completed onsite during orientation
• First-time travelers are accepted
