Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with at least 2 years of OR experience and a GA or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the hospital operating room specializing in General, GYN, ENT, Urology, and Orthopedics
• Experience with robotics is preferred
• Shift consists of four 10-hour day shifts from 6:45 to 17:15
• Weekend and weekday call requirements include 1-2 weeknights per week and 3-4 12-hour weekend shifts every 6 weeks
• Required to assist as the 2nd RN in PACU after hours and on weekends but not to recover PACU patients
• May occasionally float to Endoscopy to assist with procedures and within facility/scope of practice as needed
• Work includes robotic, orthopedic, gynecologic, gastrointestinal, urologic, and ENT surgical procedures
• RNs must be able to submit required documentation and complete labs within 48 hours of signing contract
• First-time travelers are accepted for this unit
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed
• Holiday shifts are required based on assignment period; no holiday RTO except if three major holidays fall within contract
• Must be away from all Piedmont facilities for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• Compliance with all pre-employment and orientation requirements is mandatory to start on time
• Non-billable orientation modules will be completed during orientation

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience required
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Proficiency in General, GYN, ENT, Urology, and Orthopedics surgical procedures required
• Robotic experience and familiarity with Da Vinci systems preferred
• Two supervisory references (manager or above) are highly preferred for consideration
