Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Level III high-risk facility, requiring NJ or compact RN licensure and strong fetal monitoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Labor & Delivery unit with float requirements to the HROB unit as needed
• HROB unit includes 16 rooms for early inductions, antepartum, and patients on continuous monitoring
• Potential floating to up to five hospitals within skillset, including high-risk settings
• Level III high-risk maternity environment with advanced perinatal care
• Three 12-hour day shifts (7:00–19:00) with every other weekend and every other holiday
• Uses Epic charting system; Epic experience preferred
• Hospital-provided scrubs
• May float to HROB unit and within five hospitals based on need and skillset
• First-time travelers are accepted for this role
• Block scheduling is not permitted
• Requested time off must be declared at time of consideration; additional requests will not be accepted later
• Hospital provides scrubs for staff
• Local pay rate applies for candidates residing within 50 miles
• Candidates who fail the dysrhythmia test twice will be ineligible for future assignments with this hospital system

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact state RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2.5 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications
• Must pass a dysrhythmia test within 72 hours of signing, with only two attempts allowed on a PC
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required with no exemptions
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
