Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with scrub and circulate skills for a night shift travel assignment with Epic EMR experience and NJ or compact license required.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Operating Room supporting surgical services in a hospital setting
• Assignment involves care for patients across pediatric to geriatric populations
• Shift is 7:00 PM to 8:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Must be able to both scrub and circulate
• Expected to float to a nearby sister hospital as needed
• Epic charting is utilized for documentation
• Provide comprehensive perioperative care including thorough assessments, direct patient care, emergency response, and education
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation in accordance with established guidelines
• Demonstrate competency with emergency equipment and safety protocols
• Ensure patient satisfaction through a team-based approach and courteous interactions
• Adhere to Universal Protocol, safety, and patient identification standards
• Participation in orientation and collaboration with the perioperative team are expected
• Travelers may remain on assignment for up to one year with required breaks before returning

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year recent OR RN experience required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• CNOR certification preferred
• Experience with Epic EMR is required
• Must be able to meet 50-mile radius requirement; no local candidates accepted
