Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position with Epic experience and a valid NC or compact license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Short Stay Med/Surg unit
• Night shift schedule from 7:00pm to 7:00am, three 12-hour shifts per week
• 8-week contract assignment
• Care for a varied short-stay adult patient population
• Free parking available
• Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process
• Works closely with the interdisciplinary team to evaluate and adjust patient care
• Performs bedside point-of-care testing as part of the patient care plan
• Provides patient and family education based on readiness and clinical needs
• Promotes a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment
• Local travelers will be prioritized but all travelers will be considered
• Must comply with specific drug screen and background check procedures prior to starting

Requirements

• Active North Carolina or compact RN license required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC
• Minimum one year of nursing experience required
• Completion of an accredited Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN program
• Epic EMR experience required
