Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position in Illinois with mandatory floating and high-risk OB experience required.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital
• Handles high-risk obstetric (level 3 OB) patient population
• Serves in a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Uses Cerner charting system
• Night shifts with 3x12 hour schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Required to work every other weekend, totaling two weekends per month
• Mandatory floating to other units or facilities within 50 miles, as needed
• No block scheduling allowed
• Responsibilities include care of patients in labor and delivery, with a focus on high-risk OB cases
• Team-based support model may be used when floating outside primary competency area
• No special scheduling or block scheduling requests will be accommodated
• Maximum of 5 days requested time off (RTO) allowed, with no more than 2 consecutive days and no RTO on weekends or holidays
• No RTO approved before, during, or after a holiday
• Scrub color is open to any color
• Lab work for compliance must be completed within 72 hours of offer acceptance
• Facility is open to local candidates within the mileage radius

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required, no pending licensure accepted
• At least 2 years of recent high-risk (level 3) OB experience required
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, NIHSS
• AWHONN Advanced certification preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination proof required
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
• Must reside within a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
