Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring tele competency and BLS/ACLS certifications.

Details

• Work in an acute care hospital setting on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Night shift, three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Patient ratio is 1:5-6
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating to similar units within scope may be required
• Level III Trauma environment
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Royal blue scrubs required

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required before start
• At least 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele experience required
• American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Tele competency required
• Previous charge and/or community hospital experience preferred
• Experience with Epic documentation preferred
• Social Security Number and driver’s license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Must complete pre-start online modules averaging 4 hours
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Previous permanent staff must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible
• You may only be considered for one position within this system at a time
• Return time off (RTO) must be submitted up front; approval is based on facility needs
• During hurricane season (June-November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
• Local candidates within 60 miles may be considered at a local pay rate
