Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool night shift assignment requiring an active NY license and Epic EMR proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Med/Surg Float Pool within a hospital setting
• Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Float to multiple medical-surgical units as needed
• Epic EMR experience required
• No block scheduling is permitted
• Competency testing is required, with two attempts to pass if less than two years of MS experience
• More than three call outs in a 13-week period may result in contract termination, and make-up shifts are required within six weeks
• RTO (requested time off) must be submitted at the time of application
• No local candidates permitted from specified counties within a 50-mile radius
• Travel pairs are not allowed for this assignment

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at the time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in medical-surgical nursing
• Certifications must be from AHA or RQI
• Experience using Epic EMR is required
• U.S. Social Security Number required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past year
• Medical exemption required for flu vaccine declination; personal or religious exemptions not accepted
