Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position in an adult Level 1 trauma setting, requiring an IN or compact license and AHA certifications.
Responsibilities
- Position is in the Emergency Department of a hospital
- Level 1 Trauma Center with an adult patient population
- Night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
- Every other weekend is required
- Responsible for direct nursing care, patient care plan implementation, and monitoring patient condition
- Coordinate care across disciplines and manage discharge planning
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) training is preferred and may be updated every 2 years
- Holiday coverage may be required based on schedule
- Local candidates are accepted but will be offered a reduced rate based on the facility’s radius rule
- All positions are auto offer
- COVID-19 vaccination is not required
Requirements
- Active IN or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years Emergency Department experience
- Current American Heart Association certifications in BLS and ACLS required
- PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required and must be up to date
- Nursys license verification and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start
- U.S. Social Security Number and U.S. address required
