Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist experienced in ortho, spine, neuro, or sports medicine cases for an 8-hour day shift assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Work in an orthopedic and specialty hospital physical therapy department
  • Patient types include orthopedic, spine, neuro, and sports medicine cases based on departmental needs
  • No weekend or on-call requirements
  • 8-hour day shifts; 40 hours per week
  • Use of advanced equipment such as dry needling, blood flow restriction, AlterG treadmill, pool, focused shockwave, and cupping
  • EPIC EMR is used in the department
  • No floating required
  • Receive departmental support from rehab supervisors
  • Orientation provided for 5-7 days
  • Pewter, dark grey, or granite scrubs are required
  • Free parking available on-site
  • Very traveler-friendly environment with previous renewals
  • No local travelers accepted; must live more than 100 miles from the facility

Requirements

  • Current SD physical therapy license required if applicable
  • BLS certification required
  • Degree in Physical Therapy with valid licensure
  • One year of experience considered; first-time travelers may be accepted depending on prior experience and setting
