Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of OR experience and current ARRT (R) certification.
Responsibilities
- Work in an acute care setting on the Diagnostic Radiology unit
- Rotates through all diagnostic areas including Fluoro, Mobiles, Routine, Operating Room, Endoscopy, and Orthopedics
- Three x-ray rooms, six C-arms, and one O-arm with Del Medical, OEC, Siemens (R&F), and O-arm equipment
- Imaging studies include diagnostic x-rays, fluoroscopy, and OR cases such as cysto procedures using C-arm and O-arm
- Documentation done in EPIC EMR and Fuji Synapse PACS
- Schedule consists of two 8-hour evening shifts, two 12-hour shifts (11:00 AM - 11:30 PM), and rotating weekend evening coverage
- No call required as the department is staffed around the clock
- Floating across all diagnostic areas for skill development is expected
- Primary responsibilities include performing diagnostic x-rays, assisting in OR cases such as cysto, and operating C-arm and O-arm
- Work with adult and walk-in patient populations with variable daily studies
- No requirement to start IVs
- Team is supported by an in-house radiologist
- Black scrubs are required and are not provided
- Rotating weekend shifts required; holidays covered by a 24/7 staffed department
- No call or standby required
- Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local travelers are not accepted
- If a traveler previously worked at any WVU Medicine location, a 2-year break is required before returning
- Travelers cannot work within WVU for longer than one cumulative year without a 2-year break
- First-time travelers will be considered for the position
Requirements
- Active ARRT (R) Radiologic Technologist certification required
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
- At least 1 year of radiology technologist experience including operating room procedures
- Experience with Del Medical, OEC, Siemens (R&F), and O-arm equipment preferred
- Proficiency in using EPIC EMR and Fuji Synapse PACS is required
- License required if applicable

Schedule could use some work, alternating weekends vs every 4th weekend. The hospital could be cleaner. The equipment works but is limited to two rooms for all patients, inpatient, outpatient, and ER- 2 rooms with 2 portables.
