Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring EPIC charting and flexibility to work variable night and evening shifts.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Emergency Room (ER) within an acute care setting
• Patient population includes all ages and emergency cases
• Utilizes the EPIC EMR system
• 12-hour shifts with primarily night and flexible evening hours, including weekends as scheduled
• Scrub colors may be any except denim, camouflage, or orange
• A 50-mile radius rule applies for eligibility
• Returning travel nurses or former perm staff from this health system must have a 2-year break before applying
• Cumulative assignment duration at WVU facilities may not exceed one year without a 2-year break
• Local travelers within a 50-mile radius are not eligible
• First-time travelers are considered
• Holiday and weekend work is required as scheduled

Requirements

• Active MD or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years recent ER nursing experience required
• Current certifications needed: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS, and PALS
• Prior experience using the EPIC EMR preferred
• Must provide a copy of a valid, unexpired driver's license for consideration
